I'm a creative director, storyteller, and brand consultant based in California.
I'm currently the Creative Director of Brand Studio of Pop-Up Magazine Productions. We produce a print magazine called The California Sunday Magazine, and a series of events called Pop-Up Magazine where multimedia stories are created live on stage. Specifically, I develop, commission and lead print, radio, podcast, film, and animation projects with sponsors and brands including Warby Parker, MailChimp, Google, Ace Hotel, Squarespace, Amazon Studios, Netflix, Shinola, Bulleit, Dropbox, Nest, and Shinola.
In 2014, I established and edited Pineapple Magazine, a one-off print publication for Airbnb studying urbanism, community, and sustainability in cities today, with an introduction from curator and thinker Hans Ulrich Obrist. I've consulted on editorial projects and branding with clients including Barber Osgerby, Conran & Partners, Mulberry, The Judd Foundation, AWAY, and The Tate. With every project, my aim is to tell true stories, and develop beautiful work with talented creators so that the world around us looks better.
I also write about design, travel, lifestyle, gastronomy and sustainability, and have contributed to publications including AnOther, Apartamento, Conde Nast Traveller, Dazed, Fantastic Man, The Garden Edit, It's Nice That, Mr Porter Journal, NOWNESS, Riposte, The Gourmand, Vice, and Wallpaper*.
I completed a 6-month residency at Scribe Winery, Sonoma CA, in 2016. During this time I documented agricultural and viticultural rituals on the property, and explored local folklore, ecology and sustainability in a series of essays kept on the estate.
I also founded and self-publish The Anonymous Sex Journal, an ongoing fearless print/arts project labelled as "a candid confessions booth, a set of whispers with wipe-clean covers" by Dazed magazine.
